The cable car of Mont Faron in Toulon

The Faron cable car is unique in the south of France. It allows Toulon and many tourists to access the foot of the mountain at the summit at about 584 meters altitude: Mount Faron. With an exceptional view over the harbor of Toulon, you can discover a memorial dedicated to the landing of Provence and the events of the summer of 1944, a zoo called the Fauverie du Faron and various hiking trails and two restaurants including a panoramic.

Make the most of your camping holiday by visiting the historical town of Manosque. This pretty provencal old town is full of rich historical heritage and has two large churches classified as « historical monuments » that are worth a visit.

Food lovers will enjoy a vast variety of local produce here such as olive oil (Moulin de l’Olivette), saffron, honey, lavender, biscuits, almond paste, etc… which are all showcased by local producers every Saturday and Wednesday morning at the « marché aux 7 places ».

The beaches of Martigues

The beaches of Martigues offer all kinds of water activities: Stand-up Paddle, flyboard, fishing, surfing, sailing, canoeing, towed buoy, jet-ski, scuba diving, pedal boat, windsurfing or rental of nautical equipment throughout the year.

From June to August, Snorkeling with surface guided tours by a guide employed at the Côte Bleue Marine Park from Martigues and Carry-le-Rouet also offers summer water activities in the periods from June to September: Rental single or two-seater kayak, giant paddle rental, towed buoy tower, wakeboard or jet-ski.

Borely Park

Spread over 18 hectares, Borély Park is the most frequented green space site in Marseille. It houses an 18th century bastide, enhanced by a "French" garden and a 19th century landscaped park. Its paths are very popular with joggers and walkers who enjoy strolling between the rose garden beds or discovering rare species in the botanical garden. The body of water, its jetty, its refreshment bar and its restaurant complete the many attractions of the site. Borély is also a paradise for children with two playgrounds and many spaces.
